Octavio Bio
Octavio is a Miami-based singer and composer. Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he released a successful bachata album in 1998. Most recently, he has been creating and singing songs in his own unique style of Latin pop seamlessly fusing elements of flamenco, salsa, Spanish rock, pop ballads, and reggaeton - and yet still staying true to his Dominican roots. Octavio is proud to announce that his track Pido Perdon has been selected for Billboard Magazines 2005 Latin Music Quarterly 2 CD. Its no surprise that Octavio gravitated toward music at an early age. His father, legendary bassist Manuel Patxot (who played with everyone from Xavier Gugat to Tito Puente) was constantly playing classic Latin sounds around the house - first, growing up in the Dominican Republic, and later, when the family moved to Massachusetts.
