This song, "Need Vs. Want" has a long history for me. It was written in 2005 while i was away from my family attending The Recording Workshop in Ohio. Some of the guys I was going to classes with and myself formed a band for a student recording project. I wrote the tune, but they definitely helped inspire the final feel of the song. Four years later, in 2009, a new acoustic version was released on my album Lifesize. In 2010, my friend Amy Kaus came by the studio, did a harmony vocal and sang the second verse. We released this version on a digital compilation the same year. My friend Jon Vegaz gave me a call a few weeks later and said he would love to remix one of my songs. I thought this one had a nice pop hook so i sent it to him...here it is.
