The Concept of Color
Formed in November of 2011, Variants is a melodic-rock outfit from the surprisingly untapped market of New Orleans, LA; formed of Lance Villafarra [vocals], Steven Nugent [guitars], Nathan Kleindorf [guitars], Eric Bourgeois [bass] and Michael Rivera [drums].
After the release of the critically acclaimed self-titled, four song EP in November of 2012, Variants took the underground music scene in the gulf south by storm. Regional touring of the southeast soon followed which took the band as far West as San Antonio, TX; as far North as Memphis, TN and as far East as Atlanta, GA.
In December 2013, Variants entered the studio with renowned producer, Brooks Paschal (To Speak of Wolves, Harp & Lyre, VersaEmerge). Now, the highly anticipated debut full-length album from Variants is finally upon us.
