Dede (pronounced dee-dee) shares her life experiences through simple messages of song with an ultimate goal of drawing the listener and herself closer to God.
This mother of four, who recently celebrated her eleventh wedding anniversary with husband Jon K. Slusser, grew up in suburban Atlanta and began leading praise and worship. Dede soon found herself writing and performing her own material in what she admits was a natural progression for her. She sees writing her own material as a means of expression for the whole of life’s experiences.
Still, several of Dede’s songs maintain her commitment to an ongoing devotion to Christ. Her passion for living in awe of God’s love is clearly heard in “So Wonderful”, which she describes as a song of rejoicing.
