Peter Harvey (born 1958) is an English baritone. Harvey studied at Magdalen College, Oxford and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.[1] He is specialized in Baroque music. Harvey has collaborated with Harry Christophers and The Sixteen, with Christopher Hogwood and the Academy of Ancient Music, with John Eliot Gardiner and the English Baroque Soloists, with Gérard Lesne and Il Seminario Musicale, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Gabrieli Consort. He has performed in Bach's St Matthew Passion and St John Passion and Franz Schubert's Mass No. 6 in E-flat major. In the course of the Monteverdi Choir's Bach Cantata Pilgrimage in 2000, he completed the bass parts in seventy cantatas in performance and recording.[1] In addition, Harvey also sings works by contemporary composers.
